Aloha to all,
I am happy to announce that the 11th Edition of the Pan American Surfing Games has been set. This prestigious event will be held on the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic.
After 3 trips and many hours of meetings with Olympic Committee members, potential sponsors, and government officials, the original date for the XI Pan American Surfing Games was to be set in November of this year. Then there were elections in the Dominican Republic, the government changed and everything needed to be started all over again.
Due to that reason, the XI Pan American Games will not be held this year as there was simply not enough time to organize but will be postponed until February of 2014. The exact dates will be the 1st through the 9th of February, please mark your calendars.
In other news, there will be a PASA meeting in Nicaragua during the ISA Junior's in June. The exact place and time is yet to be determined. PASA will let you know.
PASA is still trying to collect funds owed from the 2 former events in Brasil and Guadeloupe. PASA is desperately low on funds. All of PASA's programs have been put on hold due to this problem and we will keep you posted as to the progress. PASA has turned both cases over to the legal department as we get no answer from Brasil and Guadeloupe has yet started to pay what they owe.
PASA also wants to update the website as some of you have requested but cannot do that either due to the lack of funds. PASA will be sending out the latest invoices to all of you and it would be nice that you pay your dues so that PASA can get it's programs back in place. PASA needs your help.
PASA will be sending out information regarding the up coming XI Pan American Games in the near future. PASA hopes to see everyone there.

Tengo el gusto de anunciar que la 11ª edición de los Juegos Panamericanos de Surf se ha establecido. Este prestigioso evento se llevará a cabo en la hermosa isla de la República Dominicana.
Después de 3 viajes y muchas horas de reuniones con miembros del Comité Olímpico, posibles patrocinadores, y los funcionarios del gobierno, la fecha original para el XI Juegos Panamericanos el surf iba ser en noviembre de este año. A continuación, hubo elecciones la República Dominicana, el gobierno ha cambiado y tuvimos que empiezer todo de nuevo.
Debido a esta razón, los XI Juegos Panamericanos no se celebrará este año, ya que no existía tiempo suficiente para organizar pero se aplazó hasta febrero de 2014. Las fechas exactas se la 1ª a la 9o de febrero, por favor, marque en su agenda.
En otras noticias, habrá una reunión PASA en Nicaragua en la ISA de Junior en junio. La dirección exacta del lugar y la hora aún está por determinarse. PASA lo hará saber.
PASA aún está tratando de reunir los fondos adeudados desde la 2 ex-eventos en Brasil y Guadalupe. PASA es sumamente baja en los fondos. Todos los programas del PASA han quedado en suspenso a causa de este problema y lo mantendremos informados de los avances. PASA ha dado ambos casos al departamento jurídico. No recibimos ninguna respuesta de ningúm email de Brasil y Guadalupe aún no ha comenzado a pagar lo que deben.
PASA también quiere actualizar el sitio web como algunos de ustedes han pedido, pero no puede hacerlo debido a la falta de fondos. PASA estará enviando las últimas facturas a todos ustedes y sería muy bueno que usted paga sus cuotas para que PASA puede obtener la programas en su lugar. PASA necesita tu ayuda.
PASA estarán enviando información sobre las próximas XI Juegos Panamericanos en un futuro próximo. PASA espera ver a todos allí.
