Stage is set to crown the Gold Medals at the 2017 Pan American Claro Games

With better wave conditions in Punta Rocas the fifth day of the Pan American Claro Games presented by Herbalife set the stage to crown the Gold Medalists tomorrow Saturday, December 9, last day of competition.

In the Team Ranking Peru is taking the lead, followed by Brazil, Argentina and Canada.

All finals of the event will use an Olympic format. The semifinals are one on one, where the winners will be in a Final Heat for the Gold, while the second places of the semifinals will compete for the Bronze Medal.

Open Men’s final is set. In the first semifinal of the category, Maximiliano Cross from Chile defeated Mexico’s Dylan Southworth. In Semifinal 2, two peruvian brothers faced each other, Sebastian and Alonso Correa, where Sebastian was the winner.

Now, Sebastián Correa and Cross will compete for the Gold, and Alonso will face Southworth for the Bronze.

For the Open Women Final, Argentina’s Ornella Pellizzari defeated her team mate Josefina Ane, and Barbado’s Chelsea Tuach defeated Canada’s Mathea Olin.

Pellizzari and Tuach will compete for the Gold, while Ane and Olin will surf for the Bronze.
