For the first time Panama and Playa Venao will host the PASA Games, but it is a country with extensive experience in organizing massive surfing events, having previously hosted World Championships of the International Surfing Association, and other international competitions of different surf organizations.

Playa Venao is a powerful beach break, which, depending on the tide, offers waves that break to the right and left with excellent walls to maneuver or perfect tubes of variable size.

This beach is located in the province of Los Santos, and the area offers a wide variety of hotel options, restaurants and many other amenities for all visitors, in harmony with the natural magic of the area.

The PASA Games Panama 2022 marks the return of PASA competitions since 2018, when the previous event was held in the waves of Punta Rocas in Lima, Peru, as a qualifier for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.

“I want to thank and congratulate the Panamanian Institute of Sports, the Panamanian Surf Association and the Tourism Authority of Panama and their authorities for taking this important step and recognizing the strength that surfing represents, not only at a sporting level, but also as a engine of economic and social development, after two complex years at the global level”, added President Sierralta.
