The Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023 will have for the first time the participation of different modalities of Surfing
66 male and female surfers from twelve countries will participate in this event

After a great work by the authorities and organizers of El Salvador, the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023 are ready to open this Friday, June 23 and for the first time Surfing will be part of these Games, sanctioned by the Pan American Surf Association (PASA).
On Thursday, June 22, the technical meeting was held with the participation of delegates from the twelve participating countries, in which important decisions were made for the realization of the different competitions of the three Surfing events that are part of these Games.
Renzo Dañino, Director of PASA, said:
“The decision has been made to hold the competition under the format of four competitors in the water with repechage, which will give more flexibility in the event times to use the best wave and weather conditions, for the maximum performance of the competitors” .
“It is worth noting the great work of the organizers, who have created high-level infrastructures and the competition systems are ready, waiting for the waves to arrive.”

“It is a great pride to see Surfing once again in a large-scale multidisciplinary event like the Central American and Caribbean Games of Centro Caribe Sports.
