Peru wins the XI Pan American Suring Games Claro Open 2015

The individual victory of its athletes in 10 out of 12 different categories, gave Peru the Pan American Champion title during the XI Pan American Surfing Games Claro Open 2015.

In the medal count: Peru won 10 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and 5 Bronze Medals. Chile took 1 Gold, 3 Silvers and 4 Bronze. Venezuela 1 Gold and 1 Silver. Ecuador won 1 Silver and 2 Bronze. Canada achieved 1 Bronze Medal.

An intense day closed the XI Pan American Surfing Games, with many exiting heats and competitions along the day. This was the closure of  days of excitement, excelent waves and the best surfing of the Americas.

Punta Rocas showed off all its force, and didn’t let down the surfers with its great waves all along the competition days.

During the first day, the medalists of the Bodyboard categories where crowned: Women, Men and Dropknee. The following days were the turn for the rest of disciplines.

This was the first event that crowned Pan American champions in the SUP Surf, SUP Race and Paddleboard Race categories, in a 6km circuit that tested the physical strength and knowledge of the athletes.

This history 11th edition of the Pan American Games is just the beggining of what is coming in the qualifiers to Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
