Lucia Cosoleto (ARG) and Luiz Diniz (BRA) are the 2022 Pan American SUP Surf Champions

The rain was present on this fourth day of the PASA Games Panama 2022, sponsored by the Panamanian Tourism Authority, but it did not prevent the athletes from the 17 nations from continuing to give a great show of Surfing in the finals of the SUP Surfing and in the debut of the Women’s Open.

Lucia Cosoleto from Argentina is the 2022 Pan American SUP Surf Women Champion, after scoring a total of 13.00 points to win the Gold Medal in this discipline.

Cosoleto took the lead after taking a first wave of 7.00 points, immediately followed by another of 6.00 points.

In second place and with the Silver Medal was Vania Torres from Peru with a total score of 11.40.

In third and fourth place with the Bronze and Copper Medals were the athletes Aline Adisaka and Gabriela Sztamfater, both from Brazil, with total scores of 7.10 and 5.87, respectively.

In the SUP Surf Men’s final, the Pan American Champion is Luiz Diniz took the Gold Medal after adding a total of 16.17 points in the grand final.

Felipe Rodríguez from Mexico won the Silver Medal with 12.37 points, followed by the Bronze Medal for Tamil Martino from Peru with 12.00 points. The Copper Medal was won by Leonardo Gimenes from Brazil, with 10.64 points.

On this day there was also action in the Longboard and Open Women categories. The Men’s and Women’s Longboard finals were defined as follows:

In the Women’s Open debut, the best athlete of the day was Taina Hinckel from Brazil, who scored a total of 16.34 points in her heat, defeating Luna Marcano from Venezuela (5.54pts) and Angelina Decesare from Colombia (4.73pts).
